Saturday 26 September
It’s hard to credit it but it’s 25 years since the horror of Britain’s Foot and Mouth disease. It is also 25 years since Deddington Farmer’ Market was started in response to help farmers in their time of need. From a few humble stalls in September 2021 the market has grown into the most successful of its kind in the area. To mark 25 successful years, we’re planning several events and would be delighted if you would join us.
Best in Market
Throughout June, July and August we will be taking photos of dogs at the market. These will be shortlisted in three categories Best Small Dog, Best Medium - Big Dog and Best Comedy Dog. Prizes will be awarded at the September market. Photos will be taken under the market hall. More information at the market Information Desk.

Best Market Image
The market means different things to different people, and we’d like to see a single image that sums up the market to you. This can be in any medium from photos to collages and everything in between. We are running 2 categories 1) under 16 and 2) over 16s. Image should be emailed to [email protected] by end of August or handed in at the Information Desk during the July or August markets and must be clearly named with category and contact details.

On The Day
At the market on Saturday 26 September we will be running a guess the weight of two market bags filled with goodies from our stallholders and a children’s parade. The Deddington Brass Band will be playing celebratory music.
